BARBARA McLAIN—Barbara McLain has worked in education for nearly 20 years, teaching on both the high school and college levels. She recently helped to develop online composition courses at the University of South Florida, and personally piloted the first courses. In addition to teaching and course development, Barbara trained instructors to teach both in person and online. Barbara holds both a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Towson University. She later earned an MA in rhetoric and composition from the University of South Florida, focusing primarily on the teaching of composition. Barbara currently lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and three children. When she’s not busy at work or wrangling her kids, you can find her reading or sneaking away to the beach.
