Linda Packman

Linda B. Packman has had a lifelong passion for education. She has extensive experience working with students of all backgrounds and ability levels. Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Education from Duke University. She then earned her Masters of Science in Special Education/Reading from the American University. Linda then taught middle-school English and Reading in the Arlington County Public Schools. After earning her Master of Science in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, Linda became a school counselor for the Howard County Public School System where she worked with a diverse population of students at both the middle and high-school levels. Her responsibilities as a counselor included helping students select appropriate courses, counseling students about a broad variety of personal and educational topics, and advising students about post-secondary college and career options. She did extensive work with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that all students, including students with 504 Plans and IEP’s, got the appropriate support that they needed to thrive at school and in their lives.

Linda joined the CSahm Foundation as a volunteer in 2023 because her vision matches the mission of the foundation. She started as a volunteer and was then asked to Join the Advisory Board of the CSahm Foundation. In January 026 Linda became the Chairwoman of the CSahm Foundation. Linda is excited to take on this new challenge to help ensure that students with education needs get the services they deserve to thrive.

Linda is a lifelong Washingtonian. She has been married to her husband Mark for forty-seven years. Linda and Mark are devoted parents, in-laws, and grandparents.
